Foundation Stone Laid for Aesthetic New Building at Kazifori Government Primary School

The foundation stone for a new aesthetic building has been laid at Kazifori Government Primary School, located at Gudaraghat in Mirpur-1 of the capital. Chief Guest Engineer Sanjida Islam Tuli, Member of Parliament from the reserved seat for women (Dhaka-14), expressed her commitment to transforming the institution into a model school equipped with modern amenities.

Engineer Sanjida Islam Tuli, MP, attended the inauguration ceremony held to mark the occasion as the chief guest.

The event featured prominent industrialist, philanthropist, and education enthusiast Alhaj Md. Ruhul Amin, former Member Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North zub dal philanthropist, and educationist Mostafa Jaglul Pasha Papel,Ahmed Firoz PDLSWDG LGED Executive Engineer Md. Sharifuzzaman,District Primary Education Officer Md. Nurul Hasan, Thana Primary Education Officer Jamila Akter, the school's Headteacher Sanjida Khatun, prominent social worker A.K. Azad Lelin, Volunteer Wing leader Iqbal Hossain, BNP leader Hanif Mia, and the President of the school's managing committee Hasanul Kabir Mabin as special guests.

Additionally, Labour Wing leader Golam Rashul Parvez, alongside local dignitaries, teachers, parents, students, and individuals from various walks of life, attended the ceremony.

The event commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran and a prayer session (doa mahfil). Students subsequently welcomed the guests with floral bouquets, creating a festive atmosphere across the entire school campus.

In her address as chief guest, Engineer Sanjida Islam Tuli stated: "I express my deepest respect and gratitude to those who founded this school and supported its development. This institution must be built not merely as a structure, but as a vital foundation shaping the future of local children."

She noted that Kazifari Government Primary School currently serves approximately 800 students. Aligned with expansion plans to accommodate a larger student body, initiatives will be undertaken to ensure a modern learning environment.

She further emphasized that measures will be taken to provide all necessary facilities required for a modern model school. Greenery will be developed on the campus to foster a beautiful, safe, and pleasant environment for the students.

"A school is not just a place for academic learning; it is where children must be nurtured with patriotism, morality, humanitarian values, and sound education," the chief guest added. "To groom the next generation into capable citizens, collective efforts from teachers, parents, and the local community are required alongside the educational institution."

She urged that children should be raised not only to achieve academic success but also to become responsible individuals dedicated to the nation and society, highlighting that a quality educational institution serves as a cornerstone for local social and human development.

Engineer Sanjida Islam Tuli affirmed that, in line with the government's top priority on the education sector, special emphasis is being laid on upgrading infrastructure. She noted that necessary fund allocations have been secured for the new building's construction and sought the continued cooperation of teachers, parents, residents, and stakeholders.

Speaking as a special guest, Alhaj Md. Ruhul Amin remarked: "A nation's future rests upon its children. Creating a safe and inspiring educational environment is our collective responsibility. This new facility goes beyond brick and mortar; it serves as a gateway to realizing the dreams of our future generation." He stressed the importance of improving academic standards, sports, and cultural activities alongside infrastructural development, assuring ongoing support.

Mostafa Jaglul Pasha Papel stated: "There is no alternative to education. Children thrive intellectually and emotionally when raised in a conducive environment. Everyone must work together to establish Kazifori Government Primary School as an exemplary institution."

PDLSWDG Ahmed Firoz emphasized: "Ensuring educational quality is as crucial as physical infrastructure. The long-term benefits of this facility will be realized through proper utilization and a student-centric environment."

LGED Executive Engineer Md. Sharifuzzaman assured that the construction will strictly adhere to quality standards while prioritizing structural durability and safety.

District Primary Education Officer Md. Nurul Hasan stated: "Primary education is the bedrock of a child's academic journey. Enhanced infrastructure directly expands opportunities to deliver quality education."

Welcoming the initiative, Thana Primary Education Officer Jamila Akter noted that the new building will allow students to learn in a modern environment, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts among teachers, students, and parents.

Headteacher Sanjida Khatun remarked that the construction fulfills a long-standing aspiration of the school. She expressed her gratitude to all contributors and requested sustained support moving forward.

Speakers expressed optimism that the new facility will establish Kazifari Government Primary School as a modern model school—excelling not only in infrastructure, but also in academic quality, campus environment, discipline, and co-curricular activities.

The event was presided over by the current President of the school's managing committee, Md. Hasanul Kabir Mabin.
