Free Medical Camp for Underprivileged People Inaugurated at Shah Ali Thana

At the initiative of Mostafa Jaglul Pasha Papal, former Member Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North Jubo Dal, a free medical camp and medicine distribution program was organized at Shah Ali Thana for underprivileged people deprived of healthcare. The overall supervision of the camp was carried out by A.K. Azad Lenin, with organizing support from the founder of Samata Model High School.
As the chief guest, Mostafa Jaglul Pasha Papal said in his speech: “Since August 5, I have been organizing one free medical camp every week. Among the 31 points announced by the BNP, the 26th point mentions ‘healthcare for all’. This camp has been arranged in line with that objective so that low-income and middle-class people can receive free medical treatment. Along with consultations, free medicines are also distributed at every camp.”
He further stated that before starting the camp, volunteers are given training, and door-to-door campaigns are conducted to inform the community about this initiative. He mentioned that, under the guidance of Tarique Rahman, this humanitarian program will continue as part of serving citizens’ needs.
In response to a journalist’s question, Papal said: “Tarique Rahman is the symbol of our aspirations. He has always shown respect for the law. Just as the Zia family stood beside the people before independence, they continue to work for the welfare of the nation even after independence. After 1975, the martyred President Ziaur Rahman gave the nation the right direction. Later, in 1990, Begum Khaleda Zia established democracy through the anti-autocracy movement. Today, under the leadership of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, the people’s movement is progressing forward.”
He expressed hope that the cases filed against Tarique Rahman will be resolved through due legal process, enabling him to return to the country soon. “The people will have him back by their side to begin a new journey,” Papal said. “Tarique Rahman is a brave soldier for the new generation. Under his leadership, Bangladesh will once again move forward in the right direction.”
He also mentioned, “I have continued developmental and infrastructural activities in the area so that the people of Dhaka-14 constituency can truly feel the changes.” Local residents noted that the launch of free healthcare services for the underprivileged has opened new possibilities for infrastructural development in the area. Around 500 underprivileged people received free medical treatment and medicines.
