Khulna division reports 248 new dengue cases in 24 hours

A total of 248 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Khulna division in the last 24 hours, beginning from 8am on Tuesday.

According to the latest report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 186 patients were admitted to government hospitals and 62 to private hospitals during the period.

Two more dengue-related deaths were reported in the division in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll from the disease to 48 this year.

Since January 1, a total of 13,411 people have been infected with dengue in the division.

Of them, 11,897 have recovered, while 1,142 patients are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

Besides, 324 patients have so far been referred to other hospitals for better treatment.

Khulna district has recorded the highest number of dengue cases in the division, with 5,094 cases reported so far.

Another 2,719 patients have been diagnosed with dengue at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
