Mahbubur Rahman re-elected ICC Bangladesh president

Mahbubur Rahman, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of ETBL Holdings Limited, has been unanimously re-elected as the President of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)- Bangladesh, the world business organisation for a two-year term.

ICC is headquartered in Paris and has a physical presence in more than 170 countries representing 45 million of companies and more than one billion workers worldwide.

Globally, one in every three workers depends on ICC Members for their livelihood.

ICC, is the only private sector non-sovereign organization, which was granted Status of a Permanent Observer at the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Mahbubur Rahman is the Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) and Chairman of Eastland Insurance PLC. He is a former President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and also served as the Founding Vice

President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Vice President for West Asia of Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said a press release here today.

The Board also unanimously elected two Vice Presidents Rupali Chowdhury, President of Foreign Investors' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and A K Azad, former president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and Managing Director of Ha-Meem Group.
