PSC Announces Special 48th BCS to Recruit 3,000 Doctors

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the special 48th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) notice for the appointment of 3,000 doctors to public sector posts. Under this BCS exam, 2,700 vacancies for assistant surgeons and 300 for assistant dental surgeons will be filled.

The notification was published on the PSC’s website on Thursday. PSC spokesperson SM Matiur Rahman confirmed the matter. Previously, around 9,000 doctors were recruited to public sector posts through the special 39th and 42nd BCS examinations.

According to the notification, online applications and fee submissions for the special 48th BCS exam will be open from 10am Jun 1 to 6pm Jun 25. The fee has been set at Tk 200 for regular applicants and Tk 50 for those from underprivileged groups. The maximum age limit for applicants is 32 years.
