‘Voice Mechanism’ Platform Launched for Youths

Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the UN system has inaugurated a Youth Voice Mechanism (YVM) on the occasion of the International Youth Day. Youth Voice Mechanism (YVM) has been launched yesterday aims to create a sustainable, inclusive, and structured channel for young people to participate in policy development and governance processes, a press release of the ministry said. Secretary of the Youth and Sports Ministry Mahbub-ul-Alam chaired the inaugural ceremony held at conference room of the ministry
Addressing the occasion Mahbub-ul-Alam said that the platform would further strengthen the voice and participation of Bangladesh’s youth in shaping the country’s future. “This initiative will help us better understand the needs and aspirations of our youth and ensure that their voices are reflected in our policies and programmes,” he said. The Youth and Sports Secretary committed to work with the UN system and make the Youth Voice Mechanism successful.
