Woman Recovers Lost Bag Containing Gold Bangles Thanks to Ansar Member’s Honesty

A woman has recovered her lost vanity bag containing two valuable gold bangles and important documents, thanks to the honesty and sense of duty of an Ansar member deployed at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SHJMEC) in Bogura.

The Ansar member, Anwar Hossain, found the bag lying on the road near the hospital’s main entrance and immediately took it into safe custody instead of keeping it for himself.

The owner, Mst. Taslima Akter, 40, a resident of Bogura Sadar, had lost the vanity bag while visiting the hospital’s outpatient department for medical treatment at around 5:30pm.

After finding the bag, Anwar Hossain opened it and discovered two gold bangles along with several important documents. He then used a mobile phone number found among the documents to contact the rightful owner.

Taslima Akter was subsequently called to the hospital, where the vanity bag, the two gold bangles and the documents were formally handed back to her in the presence of hospital authorities.

After receiving her belongings, Taslima expressed relief and thanked Ansar member Anwar Hossain for his honesty, responsibility and commitment to duty.

The incident has highlighted the importance of integrity and a strong sense of responsibility in public service. The Ansar member’s actions not only helped return valuable property to its rightful owner but also reinforced public trust and a sense of safety within the hospital community.
