Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has said the ongoing 'Youth Festival' aimed at building a new Bangladesh by energizing the youth power in the country will continue till December 31, 2025. He made this comment at a review meeting of the National Committee on the Implementation of the Youth Festival-2025 at the conference room of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday. Asif Mahmud, also LGRD and Cooperatives Adviser, chaired the meeting while representatives from 25 ministries concerned including the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, participated in the meeting. The adviser reviewed the progress of the festival and provided necessary guidelines to the concerned ministries and departments for its smooth and comprehensive implementation. Asif Mahmud said in order to expand the festival internationally, initiatives have been taken to involve other regional organizations including SAARC and a policy decision has been taken to organize a "Global Youth Summit".

The youth festival, which started its journey on December 30, 2024 under the theme "Esho Desh Bodlai, Prithibi Bodlai (Let's Change the Country and Change the World), is being celebrated with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm across the country. According to organizers, this festival is instilling a sense of unity, a spirit of cooperation and the inspiration of self-employment among the youth, so that they can develop themselves as an asset to the country. Although the festival was declared closed on February 19, according to the government's subsequent decision, the festival period has been extended till December 31, 2025. In the first phase of the festival, 71 lakh 66 thousand 473 youth directly participated in various programs in the country, of which 27 lakh 42 thousand 171 were women. Out of the 13 thousand 711 events organized, 2 thousand 931 were sports and cultural events for women. Notably, the U-17 football tournament is organized from the union to the divisional level under the management of the District Sports Office under the supervision of the Sports Directorate.

'Youth Festival 2025' is an initiative of the Chief Adviser's Office, which is being implemented under the leadership of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in collaboration with 26 ministries. To participate in the festival and to get the latest news and event updates, visit (https://youth.cao.gov.bd). The meeting was informed that the main objective of this festival is to awaken the spirit of national unity and cooperation, to develop the youth as self-reliant entrepreneurs and to highlight the positive initiatives at the local and grassroots level on an international scale.
