11 Bangladeshis return after serving in Indian jail

Eleven Bangladeshis returned home through the Akhaura-Agartala land port in the district on Thursday afternoon after serving different jail terms for illegally entering India through various borders of Bangladesh.
Each of them was trafficked to India through brokers at different times and was arrested by the law enforcement agencies of that country and served their prison terms. Later, they were kept in the Narsingar temporary detention center in West Tripura District as per the court’s instructions.
At that time, while receiving them from India through the Akhaura-Agartala land port, First Secretary of Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, Tripura Almas Hossain, Consular Assistant Omar Sharif, Akhaura Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md G M Rashedul Islam, Immigration OC Abdus Sattar, Akhaura Police Station OC Md Samiuddin, ICP Camp Commander Md Mukhlesur Rahman, BRAC’s Migration Programme Senior Officer Md Shihabul Hossain and others were present.
Those who returned to Bangladesh are - Farzana Ahmed Nipa from Cumilla, Md Ibrahim from Feni, Helal Jamaddar from Bagerhat, Md Akramul Islam from Rajshahi, and Kabir Sheikh, Rahul Sheikh, Md Ashraful Haque, Sumon Rana, Badrul Islam, Md Abdul Mannan and Md Ruhul Amin from Chapainawabganj.
