15 Killed as Israel Bombs Gaza School; Hamas to Free US-Israeli Hostage

Israeli forces bombed a school-turned-shelter in Gaza, killing at least 15 people, as the total blockade on the Strip reached its 71st day. 

Gaza’s Health Ministry reports 52,829 Palestinians killed and 119,554 wounded, while the Government Media Office estimates over 61,700 deaths, with thousands missing under rubble presumed dead.

Meanwhile, Hamas announced it will release US-Israeli captive Edan Alexander and confirmed direct talks with the United States. 

On October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks in Israel killed approximately 1,139 people, with over 200 taken captive.

Israeli forces also attacked Yemen’s Hodeidah, targeting three Houthi-controlled ports—Ras Isa, Hodeidah, and Salif—after warning residents to evacuate
