2 drug dealers held with Yaba in Rajibpur

Police have arrested two notorious drug dealers along with 50 pieces of Yaba tablets from Char Rajibpur Upazila of the district.

The arrested persons are Nurul Amin, 37, son of late Sohrab Ali of Jalchira Para in Rajibpur Upazila, and Sultan Mia, 38, son of Aminul Islam of Dakkhin Algar Char area in ​​Rowmari Upazila of the district.

In a special operation led by Rajibpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shariful Islam in the Marichakandi Jalchira Dam area of ​​Rowmari-Dhaka Highway at 11 pm on Sunday, the police arrested them along with the Yaba. The operation was conducted based on information from ASI Ratan Mia’s source, while SIs Atikuzzaman Atiq, Arman and Rokonuzzaman Rokon, and ASI Jayanta and other supporting forces also participated in the operation.

Rajibpur Police Station OC Shariful Islam said, “A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been filed against them and they were sent to the Kurigram Magistrate's Court on Monday morning.”
