The Fisheries Department of Hathazari upazila recently conducted a special operation in the Halda River, which is recognized as the only natural fish breeding ground in South Asia, and seized 6,500 meters of illegal nets and 12 fishing rods. The raid covered the area from Kholifagona to Chipatali in the Haladar estuary of the Nazirhat Halda River in Hathazari upazila.

It was carried out from 8 pm to 11 pm last night. Md.
