As global apparel markets redefine the standards of manufacturing, Bangladesh is preparing for the next chapter of its industrial transformation with the ensuing BATEXPO 2026 to showcase Bangladesh’s sustainable apparel transformation thru ‘Impact Zone’.

At BATEXPO 2026, the dedicated ‘Impact Zone’ will bring this transition into focus, showcasing the country’s progress in environmental sustainability, social responsibility and governance across the ready-made garment (RMG) value chain.

The zone will highlight key initiatives in decarbonization, renewable energy, recycling, circularity and resource efficiency, alongside gender equity, worker health and nutrition, childcare and maternal care.

It will also demonstrate digital traceability solutions, including the Digital Product Passport (DPP), in the context of evolving European Union (EU) regulations and global supply-chain requirements.

Moving beyond conventional compliance, the initiative will showcase how Bangladesh’s apparel industry is preparing for the next generation of industrial good practices to strengthen sustainability, transparency and global competitiveness, said a BGMEA press release.

Regarding the ‘Impact Zone’ initiative, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan said, “The Impact Zone will offer a comprehensive reflection of the transformation taking place across our industry in an era defined by climate action, resource efficiency and the circular economy. This is not merely a story of compliance; it is the story of a distinctive and responsible journey towards leadership in global markets.”

Vidiya Amrit Khan, BGMEA Vice President and the driving force behind the ‘Impact Zone’ initiative, said, “Bangladesh’s apparel industry must be prepared not only to meet evolving global sustainability requirements but also to lead the transition towards responsible manufacturing,”

“The Impact Zone will demonstrate our progress in decarbonization, circularity, worker wellbeing and digital traceability, including the Digital Product Passport. Our ambition is to position Bangladesh as a trusted, forward-looking partner in the global shift towards sustainable apparel production.” Vidiya added.

Organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), with PDS as the title sponsor, BATEXPO 2026 will be held on November 18–19 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka.
