BAKSAS Announces 2025–26 Executive Committee
The executive committee of the Bangla College Journalists’ Association (BAKSAS) for the term 2025–26 has been announced. H.M. Saiful Islam Sabbir, campus correspondent of Dainik Kalbela, has been elected as President, while Shihab Al Nasim of Manab Zamin has been elected as General Secretary. The committee was formally approved by the BAKSAS advisory council on Friday, June 27.
Mehedi Hasan Tawhid, campus correspondent of Dainik Sokal er Shomoy, has been elected as Vice President; Jisan Ahmed Kabyo of Ajker Kagoj as Joint General Secretary; S.M. Moin of Shomoyer Konthoshor as Organizing Secretary; and Armanuzzaman Saikat of Songram Protidin has been elected as Treasurer and Office Secretary.
Additionally, the following have been elected as executive members of the committee: Kazi Al Tajrimin from Daily Campus, Russel Rana from Manobotar Kontho, and Shanta Akter from Dainik Songram Protidin.
The one-year executive committee was approved by the Chief Advisor of BAKSAS and Senior Crime Reporter of Ajker Potrika, Amanur Rahman Roni; Chief Reporter of Mohona Television and Founding President and Advisor of BAKSAS, Md. Monirul Islam; Former President of BAKSAS and Assistant News Editor at Ekattor Television, Md. Nazmul Hossain; and Former General Secretary of BAKSAS and Investigative Reporter at Dainik Kalbela, Jafor Iqbal.
