Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed at multiple venues across the country to ensure security for the inauguration of the nationwide 'Farmer Card' distribution programme. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the 'Farmer Card' distribution in 11 upazilas of 10 districts across the country under the pre-piloting phase today as part of the implementation of ruling BNP's election pledges

To facilitate the smooth and peaceful arrangement of the programmes, BGB members have been stationed at key venues across 10 upazilas in nine districts, according to a BGB press release. The deployment locations include: Barrister Jamiruddin Sarkar Collegiate Institute in Panchagarh Sadar and Bairati High School in Boda Upazila; Shibganj Uthali High School in Bogura; Goalanda Upazila Auditorium in Rajbari; Kripalpur Government Primary School in Shailkupa, Jhenaidah; Bibirbazar High School in Cumilla Sadar; Napiter Char in Islampur, Jamalpur; Bashir Ullah High School in Juri, Moulvibazar and Teknaf Ejahar Government Girls' High School in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar.

According to officials, BGB has been deployed as required at these key points to maintain law and order. The force is working in coordination with other law enforcement agencies to ensure overall security. Authorities stated that BGB is performing its duties with utmost professionalism to ensure the successful, secure and disciplined completion of the programme.
