Drug dealer held with Yaba, cash in Mirpur

In a raid by the District Department of Narcotics Control (DNC), a drug dealer was arrested along with 700 pieces of Yaba tablets and Tk 1,76,650 in cash from his home in Gobindapur Village of Mirpur Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The arrested Md Masudur Rahman, 48, is the son of late Ahsan Ullah of the village.

In this connection, Inspector Md Abul Kalam Azad filed a regular case under the Narcotics Control Act against the arrested with Mirpur Police Station.

The DNC said that such operations will continue and a zero tolerance policy against drugs is being followed across the district.
