Edu institutions get sports equipment in Kaunia
In order to ensure that students do not reach for mobile phones and drugs and become health conscious, sports equipment has been distributed to various educational institutions with the funding of Kaunia Upazila Parishad in the district and implemented by the upazila administration.
In the distribution ceremony at the Upazila Parishad conference room on Monday afternoon, UNO Md Mohidul Haque said, “Every educational institution also has female students, and their health matters have been taken seriously. For this, sanitary napkins have been provided to each institution.”
Addressing the heads of institutions, UNO Md Mohidul Haque said, “These will not always be given free of charge. Therefore, they will have to be purchased again.”
At that time, 2 footballs, 1 net with volleyball, handball, 1 set cricket kit, 1 set chess and 1 carom were distributed free of charge to each institution.
Among others, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Taher Sarkar, Social Services Officer Md Samiul Alam, ICT Officer Mrityunjoy Sen, Araji Shahabaz High School Head Teacher Faker Sarkar, and Shahidbag Girls’ High School Head Teacher Bazlur Rahman were also present.
