Educational Scholarships Distributed Among Indigenous Students in Naogaon

Bicycles, sewing machines and educational scholarships were distributed today among members of the indigenous community 
in Badalgachhi upazila of the district to improve their socio-economic conditions and encourage students to continue their education.

The assistance was provided under the Development Assistance for Special Areas (excluding the Chattogram Hill Tracts) programme, implemented by the 
Prime Minister's Office for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

The distribution ceremony was held on Saturday afternoon at the upazila auditorium, organised by the Badalgachhi Upazila Administration.

Local lawmaker Fazle Huda Babul was present at the event as the chief guest while Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Israt Jahan presided over it.

Among the special guests were Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Badalgachhi Police Station Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Upazila Agriculture Officer Sabab Farhan, 
Upazila Livestock Officer Ripa Rani, and General Secretary of the Badalgachhi upazila BNP Abdul Hadi Chowdhury Tipu.

As part of the initiative to improve the living standards of the indigenous community, the chief guest distributed bicycles among 38 indigenous students, 
sewing machines to 25 beneficiaries, and cash educational scholarships to 253 students.
