Fertilizer dealer fined Tk 10,000 in Paba

A mobile court today fined a fertilizer dealer Tk 10,000 for allegedly diverting government-allocated fertilizer outside the prescribed distribution system in Paba upazila of Rajshahi. 

The mobile court, led by Paba Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Ibnul Abedin, conducted a raid at M/S Saidur Traders in Harian Bazar around 11:30 am and seized 12 sacks of various chemical fertilizers.

Dealer Saidur Rahman, owner of the establishment, was fined after the mobile court found preliminary evidence supporting the allegation. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ibnul Abedin said the administration will not tolerate any attempt to smuggle government fertilizer, engage in black marketing or create an artificial crisis.

If evidence is found against anyone involved in activities against the interests of farmers, no one will be spared.
