Financial aid distributed among CCC workers
Financial assistance was distributed among cleaning workers and master role-based staff of Cumilla City Corporation (CCC) ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, bringing relief and joy to hundreds of workers. The funds, totaling Taka 41.60 lakh, were provided from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund. The distribution ceremony was held on Tuesday afternoon at the Shishu Park premises near the Dharmasagar area of the city. Newly-appointed CCC Administrator Md. Yusuf Molla Tipu attended the function as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the distribution.
A total of 833 cleaning workers each received Taka 5,000 in cash. Speaking at the event, Administrator Yusuf Molla Tipu emphasized the importance of collective efforts in building a clean and livable city. He urged residents to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and dispose of waste in designated areas to help transform Cumilla into a "green and clean city". He also called for sincere cooperation from all citizens in the overall development of the city. Among others present at the event were Acting Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Mamun, Executive Engineer Md. Abu Sayem Bhuiyan, Md. Main-Uddin Chishti and other officials of the City Corporation.
