Flood-hit families in Rangamati receive relief aid
Member of Parliament for Rangamati-299 Dipen Dewan today visited flood-affected areas in Langadu upazila and distributed relief materials among the flood victims.
During the visit, the lawmaker inspected flood-hit localities and several government offices and exchanged views with local officials and residents.
Speaking after inaugurating the Langadu Upazila Parishad conference room and attending a discussion meeting, Dewan said initiatives would be taken to complete the construction of the Langadu-Naniarchar connecting road at the earliest to make it operational.
He also said that electricity supply would be extended to the upazila's three unions that are still without power, while ongoing development activities would continue.
Langadu Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jahangir Hossain, Upazila BNP President Tofazzal Hossain, and local BNP leaders and activists were present at the programme.
