Flood-hit farmers get fish feed in Matiranga

Twenty-five kg of fish feed has been distributed among each of 102 fish farmers affected by the flash flood in Matiranga Upazila of the district in August 2024.
Organized by Matiranga Upazila Fisheries Officer’s Office, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Manjur Alam distributed the feed of carp fish in front of the Upazila Parishad on Wednesday at 9 am.
At that time, Upazila Fisheries Officer Md Ariful Molla, Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Md Selim Rana, Upazila Range Officer Md Ataur Rahman Dipu, and Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Md Ziaur Rahman were present.
UNO Manjur Alam said, “In order to compensate for the losses suffered by the farmers of Matiranga in the flash floods, the government has provided fish feed to the farmers so that they can keep their ponds under cultivation and fulfill the fish needs of the people of Matiranga Upazila and the people of the country, and above all, play a role in the country’s economy.”
