Jubo Dal secretary calls for trial of those accused of crimes during 17 years of fascism
Jubo Dal General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, MP, today said that those involved in various misdeeds and crimes during the 17 years of Awami fascism must face the process of justice.
“Those who were involved in various misdeeds and crimes over the past 17 years must be brought to proper investigation and due legal process. At the same time, emphasis should be placed on establishing justice in society, ensuring the rule of law and creating a safe environment for all people,” he said.
The Jubo Dal top leader said this while addressing a youth rally as the chief guest in Charfesson Upazila in the district, marking the organisation’s 48th founding anniversary.
A large number of Jubo Dal leaders and activists from different areas of Charfesson and Monpura took part in the rally.
About drug abuse, Nayan said no one involved in drugs would be spared.
He said drugs pose a serious threat to society and the younger generation.
To build a beautiful, disciplined and safe society, the spread of drugs must be prevented, the Jubo Dal leader said, adding, legal action against those involved in drugs will continue.
He urged all to be vigilant so that no one can escape after committing a crime.
Addressing Jubo Dal leaders and activists, Nayan said the primary objective of politics must be to serve the people.
“Standing by the people, coming forward to resolve their problems and contributing to the development of the area are the responsibilities of political workers,” he said and urged the activists to work considering service to the people as an act of worship and to work for public welfare above personal interests.
Jubo Dal Central Vice-President Md Firoz Abdullah spoke at the rally as the chief speaker while Bhola District Jubo Dal President Haji Jamal Uddin Liton, General Secretary Abdul Kader Selim and Senior Vice-President Fakhrul Islam Ferdous spoke as special guests.
