The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) personnel have arrested a man with 10 liters of fermented liquor from a rented shop at Ershad Mour Bazar under Mithapukur police station in the district.

On a tip-off, a smart team of Rangpur DNC searched the rented shop at Ershad Mour Bazar, seized the locally produced illegal fermented liquor and arrested the man at 9:50 pm on Friday, a press release said today.

The arrestee is Md Abdur Rahman, 35, son of late Akabbar Ali of village Daulat Nurpur under Mithapukur police station of Rangpur district.

Sub-inspector of the DNC, Rangpur Md Matiar Rahman filed a case in this incident at Mithapukur police station, Rangpur.

The police handed over the arrested man and the seized fermented liquor to Mithapukur police station for further legal action.
