Dhaka, Friday, 8 August 2025 — From the premises of Hazrat Shah Ali Mazar in Mirpur, the formal campaign for the 2026 National Election in the Dhaka-14 constituency was inaugurated by Mostafa Jagrul Pasha Papal, recently former Joint General Secretary-level member of the Central Committee of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal and former Member Secretary of Jubo Dal Dhaka Metropolitan North.Following Friday prayers, the program began at 2 PM with a tree plantation event.

In his inaugural speech, Mostafa Jagrul Pasha Papal said:

“In the upcoming election, Deshnayak Tarique Rahman and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will nominate candidates from among ordinary people who have risen from the grassroots.”

Recalling the ideals of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, he said:

“Like the neem tree of Ziaur Rahman in Saudi Arabia, we must make our minds soft and humane. We pray for the forgiveness of the souls of those nationalist leaders and activists who lost their lives during the past fascist Awami era.”

Addressing the people of Dhaka-14 constituency, he declared:

“We will deliver service to the doorstep of every person. There will be no place in BNP for those involved in drugs, extortion, or illegal land grabbing. Regardless of their party affiliation, strict action will be taken against such offenders.”

Leaders from various wards, police stations, and the central committee were present at the event. Speakers paid tribute to the martyrs of 5 August and prayed for the salvation of their souls. As part of the program, a symbolic neem tree was planted, representing peace, unity, and change.
