Nat’l Nutrition Week ends in Magura thru various events

The closing ceremony of the National Nutrition Week, which started this year with the theme “Nutritious Food for All from Children to Senior Citizens”, was held at the conference room of the Magura Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s office on Tuesday morning.
Magura Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hasibul Hasan spoke as the chief guest at the closing and award distribution ceremony presided over by Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Afzal Hossain. Magura Press Club President Professor Sayedur Rahman, General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Shafique, District Women’s Affairs Department Deputy Director Abdul Awal, Upazila Fisheries Officer S M Shahjahan Siraj, and Dr Broti Proma Biplob spoke as the special guests. The main article was presented by Dr Mehedi Hasan, medicine specialist at Magura 250-bed Hospital.
Organized by the Institute of Public Health Nutrition and implemented by the Magura Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Office, a drawing competition, an essay competition and a quiz competition were held at the closing and award distribution ceremony of this Nutrition Week.
At that time, Rudra Ranabh Sikder, a class five student of Jagla Government Primary School, became first in the “A” group in the drawing competition. Rudra Saha, a class seven student of Jagla Helal Uddin Memorial Secondary School, became first in the “B” group. Annesha Saha, a class nine student of the same school, became first in the “C” group. In the essay competition, Athai Saha, a class seven student of the same school, became first in the “A” group. Punyah Saha, a class nine student of the same school, became first in the “B” group. Rudra Saha, a class nine student of the same school, became first in the “A” group in the quiz competition. Masuma Khatun, a class nine student of the same school, became first in the “B” group.
At the end of the closing ceremony, prizes were distributed among the winning students by the invited guests.
