Natural disaster victims get assistance in Hatia

Jointly organized by the Hatia Upazila Administration and the Disaster Management and Relief Department, a bundle of corrugated tin, 15 kg of rice and cash Tk 3,000 have been distributed among each of 30 families affected by the natural disaster in a programme held in front of the Project Implementation Office on Tuesday morning.

In addition, dry food is being distributed among 500 affected families in Nijhum Dwip Union of the upazila, the Upazila Project Implementation Office said.

During the distribution of relief aid, Hatia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Alauddin said, “The government will continue to provide relief aid to all the affected families in phases. For this, the affected families will have to be patient.” Officials of the concerned departments and journalists were present at that time.
