PARTNER field school congress held in Alfadanga

Organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) and implemented under the Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNER) project, a day-long PARTNER Field School Congress was held at the Alfadanga Upazila Parishad Multipurpose Auditorium on Tuesday morning.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Russell Iqbal chaired the programme and Faridpur DAE Deputy Director Agriculturist Md Shahaduzzaman was the chief guest. Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Tushar Saha delivered the welcome speech. Under the leadership of Deputy Assistant Plant Protection Officer Debashish Karmakar, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Bhaben Bain, Upazila Primary Education Officer Md Rafiqul Islam and various Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officers, among others, spoke at the programme. Local farmers, journalists, political leaders and people from different walks of life were present at the programme.

At that time, spray machines were distributed to 125 farmers with the funding of ADB. In addition, a stall called ‘Farmer Service Center’ was set up at the event to provide various services to farmers.
