Pedestrian Killed in Gopalganj Road Accident
A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing a road in Tungipara upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Jabed Ali Sheikh, 55, son of late Ismail Sheikh of Lararkul village in Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat district.
According to local residents, Jabed Ali was crossing the road near Nilfa Bazar when a motorcycle struck him. He sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Local people rescued him and took him to Gopalganj 250-Bed General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Officer-in-Charge of Tungipara Police Station Ayub Ali confirmed the matter.
