RAKUB launches foundation training for new bankers
The Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) started the foundation training for newly-recruited officers at its training institute today (Sunday). A total of 40 trainees at the officer level are participating in this month-long training course. Managing Director of the Bank, Kazi Abdur Rahman, as the chief guest inaugurated the 47th Foundation Training Course.
The programme was presided over by the Principal of the Training Institute, S.M. Ahsanullah, and the General Manager of the Administration Division, Taj Uddin Ahmed, was present as the special guest. Senior Faculty Member Kaosar Jahan conducted the event and was also attended by faculty members of the Training Institute and concerned officials. Welcoming the new bankers, Kazi Abdur Rahman briefed them about the importance of the foundation course. He urged the participants to enrich themselves with various rules, regulations and policies.
Calling upon them to take the banking profession as a challenging one, he underlined the necessity for professional development to become skilled professionals. He expressed his optimism that the Rakub will be a model for other banks. In his speech, General Manager Taj Uddin Ahmed hoped that the trainees will be able to utilize their knowledge to be obtained from the training in banking activities, including loan sanction and recovery, collecting deposits, and uplifting profits. He emphasized improving the quality of service so that the farmers can avail of the service without any intervention by brokers.
