Rangpur Commissioner: Land Services Made Easier

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam in a post-rally discussion has said that land services in the country have now become much easier and more modern than before.
"All land-related services including Khatian and Namzaari can be accessed online from home. This reduces time and costs, and increases transparency and accountability," he said.
The Rangpur divisional and district administrations jointly organised the discussion on Sunday at the inaugural function of the three-day Land Fair-2025 at the Deputy Commissioner's office premises in the city.
Earlier in the morning, the Divisional Commissioner inaugurated the fair by releasing balloons from the same venue as chief guest.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal presided over the inauguration ceremony.
Later, a colorful rally started from the Deputy Commissioner's office on the occasion of the land fair and ended at the same place after circling the main road of the city.
Government and private officials, social workers, school and college teachers and students and journalists were present at the event.
The chief guest said that it is necessary to verify the information about the land before buying or selling the same. Every citizen should keep the correct documents of their land.
"If you have the right knowledge about land services, you can be free from fraud. For this, everyone should be diligent about land services," he added.
At the beginning of the program, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Rangpur Land Office Md Dulal Hossain, gave a presentation at the function.
In his presentation, he showed a flow chart on the 'People-Friendly Land Services 60-30-10 Model' and an easy way to get land services online.
Rangpur Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Aminul Islam, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Majid Ali, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Md Ashraful Islam and Rangpur metropolitan BNP convener Shamsuzzaman Samu addressed the event as special guests.
