RCC administrator pledges religious institution development under PM’s plan
Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mahfuzur Rahman Riton today stated that the City Corporation provides all-out support for the development of religious institutions-- mosques, madrasas and temples-- following the directives from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
"The Prime Minister has given me the opportunity to serve the city residents. I am working to ensure the development and civic services," he said while offering holy Jumma prayers at the Alupatti Sadar Jame Masjid in Rajshahi city.
Mosque Management Committee President Advocate Ashraf Hossain, its Secretary Ashraful Islam Bulbul, Vice-President Dr. Hasanuzzaman Hasu, Joint Secretary Sirajul Islam and Treasurer Sadikul Islam were present at the time.
After the prayers, Riton inspected the renovation work of the mosque and the madrasa.
At that time, he discussed the progress of the mosque's renovation work and various other issues with the concerned people.
He assured necessary cooperation for the development of the mosque.
RCC Executive Engineer Mahmudur Rahman, Assistant Engineers Yusuf Ali Isha
and Md. Afzalul Hossain Tarek, Architect Zahurul Anwar Ananta and other
engineers of the City Corporation were present during the inspection.
