As the water level of the Padma River has risen, Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mahfuzur Rahman Riton stood beside the flood-affected people living on the riverbank in the Talaimari Shaheed Minar area of Rajshahi metropolis. This afternoon, he personally distributed food items and emergency medicines among the flood-victims living on the riverbank in the Talaimari Shaheed Minar area.

During this time, the RCC Administrator listened attentively to the flood- affected people and assured them that he would always stand by them. While distributing the food items, Riton said, "It is our moral responsibility to stand by people in times of danger. We understand the suffering of those who are in distress due to the rise in the water level of the Padma River."

"We, on behalf of the City Corporation, have stood by the flood victims," he added. Leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organisations are also by their side. No one should feel helpless during this time-that's why they are by their side with humanitarian assistance and will continue to be by their side in the future. Food items are being provided to every flood-affected family.

Necessary assistance will continue to alleviate the suffering of people living on the riverbanks and in low-lying areas. At that time, RCC Secretary Sohel Rana, Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun and other officials and Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP Vice Presidents Aslam Sarkar, Muktar Hossain and Joynal Abedin, Organizing Secretary Rabiul Alam Milu and other leaders were present.
