RCC Launches Special Cleanliness Drive for a Cleaner Environment
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has intensified its cleanliness activities across the city as part of efforts to ensure a clean environment and enhance the overall beauty of the metropolis.
Under the direction of RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, regular cleanliness operations are being carried out at different locations in the city.
As part of the initiative, RCC conducted a special cleanliness drive on Tuesday along the stretch from Octroi Mor, adjacent to the RUET wall, to the city flyover.
During the drive, weeds growing along footpaths were removed, while mud and accumulated garbage were cleared from the roads. Soil and waste blocking the mouths of drains were also removed to facilitate the smooth flow of water through the drainage system.
The authorities said such operations are aimed at keeping roads and footpaths clean, improving the city's appearance and ensuring the smooth movement of residents.
RCC officials said similar special cleanliness drives will continue across the metropolis as part of ongoing efforts to maintain a clean, attractive and livable city.
RCC Deputy Chief Conservancy Officer Selim Reza Ranju, Monitoring Officer (Mosquito) and conservancy supervisors were present during the drive.
