Roads and Highways Workers Union holds discussion in Rajshahi

A discussion and exchange meeting was held with the aim of resolving various problems of all employees, including work-charged and muster-roll employees working in the Bangladesh Roads and Highways Department.

Local units of Bangladesh Roads and Highways Workers Union organised the meeting on the premises of Sarak Bhaban in the city.

Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation Mahfuzur Rahman Riton attended the event as special guest.

The Chairman of the Rajshahi Development Authority, Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, and the Organizational Secretary of Metropolitan BNP Rabiul Alam Milu attended the event, among others.

The event was presided over by Zainul Abedin, president of the Roads and Highways Workers Union, District Regional Council, Rajshahi while the chief speaker was KAM Saifur Rahman, president of the Central Executive Council of the Roads and Highways Workers Union.

The welcome speech at the event was delivered by Anwar Hossain, General Secretary of the Roads and Highways Workers Union, District Regional Council, Rajshahi.

Dr Abdullah Al Mamun, additional chief engineer of the Rajshahi Zone of the Roads and Highways Department, and Ashiqul Islam, superintending Engineer of the Roads Circle, Rajshahi also speaking at the time.
