A vocational laboratory has been inaugurated at Bagha Mohila Commercial College and Vocational Institute in Bagha upazila to equip students with technology-based and job-oriented skills. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shammi Akter Toma inaugurated the lab on Thursday. Established under the second phase of the Rural Infrastructure Maintenance Programme in the 2025-26 fiscal year at a cost of Tk 265,663, the lab has initially been equipped with four computers.

The facility will provide students with practical training in computer operation, internet use, document preparation, bookkeeping, email communication and other digital skills. Speaking at the event, the UNO said the lab would help students acquire technological skills and enhance their employment prospects. Principal Abu Sayeed Mohammad Siddiq said the facility would help bridge the gap in practical technology education and better prepare students for future careers.
