Youth held with 2,000 yaba pills and arms in Khulna
Police arrested a youth with 2,000 yaba tablets and a foreign-made pistol, a magazine, a bullet from the Nirala area of the city early today.
The arrestee is identified as Md Ashrafuzzaman Jibon, 23.
Based on information, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) arrested Jibon from his house on Kashimnagar Road under Sadar Police Station between 2:50am and 3:30am, said a KMP press release.
Police recovered the pistol, magazine, one round of ammunition and the yaba tablets from his possession.
Jibon is the son of late Abdul Hamid and Asia Khatun of Kashimnagar Road No. 2 in the city's Nirala area.
Separate cases have been filed with Khulna Sadar Police Station over the recoveries, the release added.
