3 Arrested in Army Operation in Khilkhet, Capital

The Uttara Army Camp has arrested Mohammad Shahidul Islam Khokon, Mohammad Helal Uddin, and Mohammad Abdur Rahim, key figures involved in terrorism, land grabbing, drug trafficking, gang violence, robbery, and regular extortion from local shops in the Khilkhet market area.
According to a press release issued by the Uttara Army Camp, the arrests were made based on confidential and specific information in a raid conducted by the Army's 6th Independent AD Brigade under the Uttara Army Camp on Sunday night. The three suspects were involved in eight criminal cases, including terrorism, land grabbing, drug trafficking, operating a youth gang, robbery, and extorting money from local businesses.
It was noted that Mohammad Shahidul Islam Khokon, a notorious criminal involved in various illegal activities, regularly led extortion efforts from the shops in the Khilkhet market area. The suspects had previously been arrested in special operations by the Uttara Army Camp: Khokon on September 24, 2025, and Abdur Rahim on April 22, 2025. However, both were released on bail.
Upon interrogation, the suspects admitted to their crimes and were handed over to Khilkhet Police Station for further legal proceedings.
