53 BGB seizes 98 bottles of intoxicating Syrup at Shibganj border
A team of 53 battalion of BGB has seized 98 bottles of Indian intoxicating syrup during a drive in Shibganj, Chapainawabganj. These syrups were recovered from Monoharpur village of Durlavpur union of the upazila around 8 pm on Sunday.
In a press release, the BGB said that a special patrol team of Manaksha BOP under the Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB) seized 98 bottles of Indian intoxicating Escaf syrup from Monoharpur village of Durlavpur union under Shibganj police station. The estimated market value of these seized Escaf syrups is 39 thousand taka.
The BGB also said that the process of depositing the seized narcotics at Shibganj police station is under process. 53 BGB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Kazi Mustafizur Rahman, PSC, confirmed the truth of this matter and said that the BGB is always working relentlessly to implement the Bangladesh government's zero tolerance policy against drugs, including ensuring border security in the battalion's area of responsibility.
