80,723 Hajj Pilgrims Reach Makkah; 15 Reported Dead

A total of 80,723 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims have travelled to Saudi Arabia so far, according to the latest bulletin of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. As per the bulletin, 80,723 pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia through 208 flights till Friday, May 30. The report said three more Bangladeshi pilgrims died on Thursday, May 29, after reaching Saudi.
The deceased were Abul Kalam Azad, 62, from Gazipur’s Tongi, Mozlem Hawladar, 63, from Madaripur’s Sadar, and Md Mostafizur Rahman, 53, from Joypurhat’s Panchbibi. With this, 15 people died after going to Saudi to perform Hajj. The first Hajj flight left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on April 29 and the last flight is scheduled to depart on May 31. A total of 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims will go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year.
