Bangladesh Army today provided medical treatment and medicines to more than 1,000 patients at a free medical and medicine distribution camp held at the Rangpur Indoor Stadium. The 66 Infantry Division of the Army organized the camp under the directive of Major General Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Rangpur Area Commander and General Officer Commanding of the division. The event was part of the Army's ongoing humanitarian initiative, held under the theme "July Rejuvenation in Society". Colonel Moshayed Reaz, Assistant Director of Medical Services of the 66 Infantry Division, supervised the camp's overall management. Briefing journalists on the spot, army officials said that five specialists from the Combined Military Hospital of Rangpur Cantonment provided free medical care to patients of all ages and prescribed medicines to them. Three of them specialized in medicine, while one each specialized in pediatrics and gynecology. Following consultations, the patients were given free prescribed medicines. Apart from treatment, the medical team also offered advice on disease prevention, health awareness, and basic first aid.
