Arrest, trial of AL terrorists demanded in Nilphamari
Demanding the arrest and trial of Awami League terrorists, the July uprising victims and the families of their martyred ones formed a human chain on the district court premises on Sunday morning.
The human chain was addressed by District BNP President Alamgir Sarkar, District Jamaat Secretary Mawlana Antazul Islam, District Bar Association President Al Faruk Abdul Latif, General Secretary Al Masud Chowdhury, Abdul Wadud, brother of martyr Atiqul, who was killed in crossfire during the Awami League regime, and Shahidul Islam, brother of martyr Mahidul.
The speakers in the human chain complained, “Awami League terrorists are still roaming openly despite committing one murder after another. However, the administration is not taking any action against them. The terrorist forces are also harassing innocent people by filing false cases against them. They demanded the immediate withdrawal of these baseless cases filed in the names of martyrs and victimized family members.”
District Bar Association Library Secretary Anisur Rahman Azad, District Court APP Mamunur Rashid Patwary, student representative Shrestha Sarkar, Islami Chhatra Shibir former district president Ahmed Raihan, Town Unit President Shafiqul Islam and many others also spoke in the programme.
