Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) is working tirelessly to ensure overall security in the waterways on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. In addition, the BCG is continuing to distribute leaflets to make the public aware.

BCG Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid gave this information on Wednesday morning. He said, “Since its establishment, BCG has been working tirelessly to ensure overall security in the coastal and riverine areas. The force is conducting regular patrols, joint and joint operations to prevent illegal activities and secure the waterways.”

He also said, “On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha-2025, BCG is conducting special patrols, public awareness, leaflet distribution, searches of suspicious persons and boats/vessels, and bag scanning of passengers, among other security activities, at important launch/boat/ferry ghats in Khulna District’s Rupsha, Koyra and Nalian in the West Zone, Bagerhat District’s Mongla and Sharankhola, and Satkhira District's Kaikhali to provide public safety.”

He further said, “Every BCG member is always on the alert to ensure that miscreants cannot organize any kind of sabotage activities. Through which it is expected that the passengers’ journey will be safe. This activity of the BCG is continuing 24 hours a day and night and the said activity will continue to keep the journey of the passengers safe after Eid-ul-Azha.”
