BNP protests Jamaat-Shibir’s propaganda in Raiganj
The Raiganj Upazila and Municipality BNP organized a press conference at the Dhangara party office of the upazila on Saturday afternoon to protest the propaganda of Jamaat-Shibir.
Upazila BNP former general secretary VP Aynul Haque read out a written statement at the conference.
He said in his written statement, “A special group of Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, a member of the Central BNP standing committee, is trying to mislead the four potential BNP MP candidates from Sirajganj-3 (Raiganj-Tarash) Constituency after visiting the shrine of Hazrat Haji Shah Sufi Jindani (Rh) in Naogaon of Tarash Upazila. Politically motivated propaganda has been carried out by linking him to Jamaat-Shibir, which is conspiratorial.”
At that time, the leaders and activists present, including the four MP candidates, strongly condemned and protested the incident and demanded that the culprits be tried subject to investigation.
At that time, four MP candidates, District BNP Information and Research Secretary VP Aynul Haque, District BNP Adviser Engineer Kamal Hossain, District BNP Member Rahid Mannan Lenin, Upazila BNP former senior joint general secretary Dulal Hossain Khan, Raiganj Upazila BNP former president Md Shamsul Haque, along with all the leaders and activists of Upazila and Municipality BNP and affiliated organizations were present.
