BNP's protest march against terrorism & extortion in Mohammadpur, Magura
A protest march and rally were held in Mohammadpur, Magura, against propaganda to destabilize the country, attempts to obstruct the government's development and administrative activities, and terrorism and extortion.
The program was organized on Wednesday at 11 am by the Mohammadpur Upazila BNP, its organs and associate organizations.
As part of the program, a protest march was taken out from Mohammadpur Salima Haque Women's Degree College. The procession circled various roads, visited the UNO office, and ended at the Mohammadpur bus stand. Later, a protest rally was held there.
The speakers at the rally said that an organized group is systematically spreading propaganda to destroy the democratic environment and stability of the country. At the same time, attempts are being made to obstruct the government's development activities and administrative activities. They called on people from all walks of life, including party leaders and activists, to remain united against these evil activities.
The speakers also said that any evil attempt to rehabilitate terrorism, extortion, propaganda and fascism must be resisted. Social and political resistance must be built against conspirators in the interests of peace, democracy and development of the country.
The protest rally was addressed by Magura District BNP Joint Convener Advocate Khan Roknuzzaman, Upazila BNP Former Convener Principal Maimur Ali Mridha, Mohammadpur Upazila BNP Former Joint Convener Monirul Islam Mukul, Aminur Rahman Degree College Principal and Upazila Muktijoddha Command Council Convener Matiur Rahman, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Tariqul Islam Tara, Chhatra Dal Shakil Sardar, among others.
Leaders and activists of various levels of Upazila BNP and its affiliates and associate organizations were present at the time.
Speakers from the rally called on everyone to play a responsible role in maintaining peace and order in the country and keeping the democratic environment intact.
