BNP's renaissance in Shariatpur on Returns of Mia Nuruddin Apu, Promise to make Modern Shariatpur
People of Shariatpur have been flocking to Jajira area since morning. They keep Party flags in hand, banners and making welcome slogans on returning home town of Mia Nuruddin Apu. At that point, a wave of people spread throughout the area.
All the people were waiting for Mia Nur Uddin Apu, the trusted companion and private secretary of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, a leader who has been repeatedly tortured in prison, and the pride of Shariatpur district, candidate for Shariatpur-3 constituency (Damudya-Gosairhat-Bhedarganj), returned to his home area after a long of seven years.
On Thursday (October 30) morning, the entire area of the Jajira in Shariatpur was filled with excitement on the occasion of his arrival - as if it were a day of renaissance of BNP.
Standing on the stage beside Padma valley of Naudoba area, Mia Nuruddin Ahmed Apu said, "On this day, I promise to Shariatpur people - I will develop Shariatpur into a modern, developed Shariatpur in recent future."
He also said, "This is our country, these people also ours. Let no one again lead the country to destruction due to the greed for power. Every leader and worker of BNP must remain united in the fight to protect the rights of the people, the right to vote and democracy."
BNP nomination aspirant from Madaripur-1 constituency and Shibchar Upazila BNP Convening Committee member and prominent businessman Kamal Zaman Nuruddin Molla, were presented there with thousands of leaders and activists of local BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and other, greeted the beloved leader with flowers and expressed their excitement.
