BSCIC distributes salt for rawhide preservation

Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) distributed 47 metric tons of salt free of cost to Madrasas, Lillah Boarding and orphanages in the district for preserving the rawhides of sacrificial animals with salt.
On Wednesday noon, in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the district administration and the BSCIC inaugurated the distribution of salt among the superintendents and authorities of Sadar Upazila Madrasas, Lillah Boarding and orphanages in 8 upazilas of the district, including Sadar.
BSCIC Patuakhali Assistant General Manager Md Alamgir Sikder, Industrial City Officer Md Al Amin, Madrasa, Lillah Boarding and orphanage officials, dealers of M/s Payra Salt, Riyadh Salt Industry and Sohel Enterprise of Jhalakathi District were present. Deputy Commissioner Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin called upon all those present to preserve the rawhides of animals by using salt properly.
