Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain today sought all out help of every citizen to keep their homes, rooftops, courtyards, and surrounding areas clean and free from mosquito breeding. "It is essential for everyone to collaborate in eliminating mosquito breeding sites," he said while addressing a rally here today. Voluntary organization 'Suraksha' in partnership with CCC arranged the rally aimed at raising public awareness and engaging citizens in the fight against dengue and chikungunya.

Shahadat Hossain noted that positive outcomes are already being observed in dengue control due to the coordinated efforts of the CCC. This improvement has been made possible through the application of high-quality larvicide, consistent cleaning initiatives, and extensive public awareness campaigns. Chairman of Suraksha Dr. MM Taimur Hasan presided over the function while Dr. Rasheduzzaman Mondal and Arman Ali presented the keynote speech.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam, head of the Environment Department at Chattogram Polytechnic Institute Selim Uddin, Chief Education Officer of CCC Dr. Kissinger Chakma, Acting Chief Health Officer Dr. Mohammad Imam Hossain (Rana) and President of Chattogram Metropolitan Journalists Union Mohammad Shah Nawaz spoke among others.
