FactWatch Refutes Claim of First Bangladeshi Moon Landing

Independent fact-checking entity FactWatch has identified the claim of being the first Bangladeshi to land on the moon as misleading. The Factwatch investigation team said a three-day training event of Rutba Yasmin is being promoted as the first Bangladeshi to land on the moon. Therefore, based on this information, Factwatch has identified the viral posts as misleading. FactWatch said some posts recently circulating on Facebook are claiming that Rutba Yasmin is going to be the first Bangladeshi to set foot on the moon. But FactWatch's investigation shows that she only participated in a three-day workshop called 'Moon Pioneer Mission' organized by Space Nation.

This is a three-day space mission simulation led by a former NASA astronaut which is designed to give the general public an experience like a real space mission. In reality, it is not a real program of landing on the moon. Therefore, FactWatch's investigation found that the viral posts are misleading. FactWatch's investigation found that Rutba Yasmin is a Bangladeshi physicist, engineer and astronaut who has completed training as a member of 'Moon Pioneer Mission 004' organized by Space Nation. Recently, some media outlets in Bangladesh published reports on this incident. There, it was mentioned that she had completed this training. It was also claimed that with this training, she was going to set foot on the moon for the first time as the first Bangladeshi.
