Govt Agrees to JnU Protesters’ Demands: UGC Chairman
University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof SMA Faiz has said the government accepted the demands of the protesting students of Jagannath University (JnU).
He made the announcement at the protest rally near Kakrail Mosque intersection in Dhaka on Friday evening, May 16.
The announcement came hours after JnU students began a mass hunger strike around 3:45pm near Kakrail Mosque intersection to press home their demands, including housing allowances, full budget approval, campus expansion and justice for police action against teachers.
